Leaf/Bud: first year growth is a rosette of clumping foliage, flowers second year, dentate leaves, wrinkled appearance, when crushed smell of garlic, second year growth stalked foliage

Flower/Inflorescence: spike inflorescence of cross shaped white flowers in dense clusters 

Size: height of second year growth can get up to 30cm 

Habit: upright 

Form: spike 

Culture: found in shaded habitats, deep growing white taproot 

Landscape Use: biennial weed (herb) 

Notes: all parts smell of garlic
