Leaf/Bud: alternate arrangement, serrate margin, acute apex, bronze emergent color - green by end of summer

Flower/Inflorescence:  flowers emerge before the leaves in early spring; they are fragrant, 3 to 1.2–1.4 inch in diameter, with five white or pale pink petals, the flowers grow in clusters of five or six together

Fruit/Seed: drupe 8-10mm 

Stem/Bark: lateral branching - no congestion 

Size: height 5-12m 

Habit: upright

Form: vase-like 

Culture: prefer dry winter and wet summer, full sun, well-drained soil 

Landscape Use: street tree, spring cherry blossoms, good fall color
