Leaf / Stem / Roots: grey/green branched stems, lanceolate leaf 2-4cm long, loose taproot

Flower / Inflorescence: intense blue capitula 1-3cm in diameter, a few large ray florets surrounding a central cluster of disc florets 

Size: 15-35 inches tall 

Habit: erect and tilting 

Form: vase 

Culture: full sun, not fussy and will tolerate most growing conditions 

Notes: can be a bit weedy, many different cultivars created, dried flowers commonly used in tea blends, goof for cut flowers
