Common name: Fatsia, Paper Plant, Japanese Aralia

Origin:  Southern Japan and Southern Korea

Culture:  Evergreen shrub, open to deep shade - will NOT do well in full sun or cold draft conditions,   as an indoor plant it likes a great deal of light but no direct sunlight, water often in the growing season and less in the winter months when dormant,  sensitive to overwatering or standing water - let dry and make sure it has proper drainage, prefers slightly acidic soil, only fertilize with weak liquid fertilizer

Size:  3-6m in height outdoors

Use:  Landscape planting, indoors

Problems: Aphids, mealy bug

Notes:  Looks good with hellebores and hosts, hardy zones 7-10, foliage is great in flower arrangements - lasts a couple weeks when cut
